Mighty Pines 4-H Club donates quilts to patients

Front Row (L to R): Gavin Thomas, Gabriel Thomas; Back Row (L to R): Sue Dean (Former Group Leader), Sheri Chapman (Director of Clinical Services), Kaitlyn Thomas (Mighty Pines 4H Club member)

Sixteen year old Kaitlyn Thomas delivered 30 blankets to Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. for their home care patients. Kaitlyn and others worked together to provide blankets to people that need them through the Mighty Pines 4H club (Pierrepont area) leadership program "Binky Patrol". The club has been running "Binky Patrol" for eight years and they have donated to organizations such as Renewal House, Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Canton Rescue, and some of our local fire departments.

The blankets are made and donated by a variety of sources including some very dedicated community members. "The blankets will go to our pediatric patients and other patients that are in need of some extra comforting," says Sheri Chapman, Director of Clinical Services. "It is thoughtful programs like Binky Patrol that help us bring cheer to our patients."
