Registered Nurses receive advanced wound V.A.C. training
The Registered Nursing staff at Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. (HSNNY) have been attending extended specialized advanced wound V.A.C. training that will end on May 25th. "All of our nursing staff is trained on general wound V.A.C. techniques, but it is very important to us that we provide continuing education training for our clinical staff using the most up-to-date technology," stated Matthew O’Bryan, Administrator. "This training will allow our staff to handle even more complex cases."
"This training program will assist our clinical staff to help our patients heal at home", said Sheri Chapman, Director of Clinical Services. "It is our goal to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and technologies in wound care." The V.A.C. WRN training program will provide training on V.A.C. therapy application techniques, as well as specialized training in pressure ulcers, dehisced surgical wounds, orthopedic trauma wounds, and diabetic foot ulcers. In addition to having this specialized training, our nursing staff can care for patients in the comfort of their own home.
