I began my journey with Health Services of Northern New York 5 months ago after deciding to leave another home health agency that I was with for over two years. Each day that I have spent caring for our patients in their homes brings me a sence of accomplishment knowing I helped a patient in need even if its only for a little while. The communication and support that I receive from this organization is irreplaceable, beyond words.
Health Services of Northern New York not only provides me with a reliable source to take care of my family, but they provide me with the tools and skills needed to care for my clients each day. Support such as this is a much-needed aspiration for any organization and it’s the vision of Home Health Services that keeps me inspired every day. With no doubt in my mind I will continue to grow with HSNNY once I'm able to finish my nursing degree.

"Health Services of Northern New York is a great agency to work for. I have seen them grow from a small agency into something bigger. I have worked for Health Services of Northern New York for 28.5 years. The management staff has always been there to help me out when I needed them. I love how they can be flexible with my schedule.
I love going to work everyday knowing I have a purpose in life to care for people. The idea of working one on one with my clients is great so they can live in there homes longer. I feel good at the end of my day knowing I cared for someone and made them smile. I go above and beyond caring for my clients. I am thankful everyday for my job."
Lisa Wright, Personal Care Aide since 1991
"I have worked for Hhsnny for over 12 years now . During that time it has been my honnor to have cared for close to 200 people in Northern N.Y. I have made many good friends and unfortunately have lost over 80 clients over the years. I feel fortunate to have been part of these individuals lives. I have many fond memories of them. Not to long ago the daughter of one of the ladies I took care of came up to me and hugged me and said I love you Dean you always treated mom like she was your sister. Another man I used to set with while his wife ran erons would always want to play checker s. We would play for 100000 a game lol. When he got to the point where he couldn't play any more. He said he wanted to make up a brief case with fake money in it so I could take it home and show my family that he finally paid me the money he lost in checkers. This job have not only provided me a living but had add life to my living."
Dean Gleason, Home Health Aide since 2008
"I began working for HSSNY five years ago. At the time I knew I wanted a job where I was helping people. HSNNY provided me with extensive training, certification, a flexible schedule, and the benefits of being part of a coordinated team effort. I take satisfaction in knowing that I have all of the tools and support that I need to meet the needs of the people I serve. I have enjoyed meeting interesting people and take satisfaction in knowing that I have made a difference in their lives. In a time when there is so much wrong in the world, it is a priviledge to be part of something that is so right!"

"I would recommend HealthServices of Northern New York to anyone looking for a career in the healthcare field. I love spending time with my clients assisting them with every aspect of their daily lives. The hours are flexible, I am still able to make my kids appointments and activities while financially being able to support them. There is room to grow within the company and the staff are supportive, kind, and compassionate not only to the clients they care for but also their co-workers they work with. Health Services provides a positive environment for both its clients and staff, I wouldn't want to work anywhere else!"

"Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. has nurtured my career since 1993. I started here as a scheduler. I moved through several positions internally and learned that I wanted to become a PTA. They were very supportive of my decision to further my education and accommodated my school schedule so I could stay working at Health Services of Northern New York, Inc.. I later received my degree as a PTA and went on to get my two years of clinical experience before returning to Health Services of Northern New York, Inc.. I have been with the agency ever since. I love my job and I look forward to going to work every day. My clients are amazing and remind me of why I chose this field every day. I feel a tremendous amount of support and teamwork from my co-workers at the office and in the field. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives every day."
-Becky Paul, Physical Therapy Assistant
"Before working at Health Services of Northern New York, Inc., I worked in a group home setting for people with disabilities in Florida. When I returned to the north country I knew I wanted a job that allowed me to help people. I started in October of 2009 as a Personal Care Aide 2 and I absolutely love my job. I really enjoy the one on one interaction with my clients and it is so gratifying knowing at the end of each day that I have made a difference for someone. The great thing about Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. is that they are very flexible and extremely team oriented. I know I have a great support system with the office, my supervisor, and other aides in my location."
-Melinda Snyder, Personal Care Aide 2 since 2009
