What services does Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. offer?

Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. provides a full range of home care services to assist patients with many aspects of their healthcare needs including:

The services we provide are unique to each one of our clients and families. We will customize an in-home healthcare plan with you depending on your insurance and the number and types of services you need. Our goal is to provide services that help our clients recover from their condition as best they can and to help our clients to continue to live comfortably in their own homes. We also work with our clients and their families to prevent a recurrence of any injury or illness.

How much do services cost?

Our services are often covered by Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance. Please call us at 315-265-4065 and we will be happy to check with your insurance company. Any services not covered by your insurance can also be purchased on a self pay basis.

Are your employees screened?

All of our caregivers are pre-screened through a comprehensive testing process. This process includes fingerprinting, background checks, and license verification.

Do you take care of seniors only?

No, we provide services for a variety of individuals of all ages with many different clinical and personal care needs.

Do you provide twenty-four hour care?

Yes, we provide twenty-four hour service. We usually break the shifts into 8 to 12 hour segments for each caregiver to assure we have a fresh, alert staff member on duty at all times.

Why should I go through an agency as opposed to privately hiring someone?

When someone privately hires an individual, they become the employer. With that come liability risks, staffing responsibilities, and quality management concerns. An agency like ours insures and bonds all of our employees, assigns staffing managers to coordinate consistent staffing measures and monitors quality of care through on-going Nurse assessments. With an agency, the client can rest assured that their loved one is being well cared for and is safe during their absence.

I have insurance and I'm not sure if it covers non-medical home care and/or home health care services - will Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. verify coverage prior to starting service?

Yes. Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. is very comfortable in dealing with insurance companies. With your approval, we will check your coverage and let you know the results. Click here to see what insurances we accept.

What if I need to speak to someone in the office after business hours?

Health Services of Northern New York, Inc. office staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When the office is closed, there is an on-call person available to help you.
